Information contained within the WWI, Inter-War Years, WWII, Air Defense Era and Back to TAC were compiled by Mr. Charles F. O'Connell, Jr., who worked 1st as the 1st Tactical Fighter Wing Historian, then at the Office of TAC History, Headquarters Tactical Air Command, Langley AFB, VA. His tremendous effort has captured the real history of the 1st Pursuit Group and 1st Tactical Fighter Wing that without, would probably have been lost.
